

He was born in Long Branch in 1958 to Anthony Bucci and Dixie Hacker, and spent most of his childhood with his siblings in Bayville, NJ. Michael attended Bayville schools and Central Regional High School before moving on to enlist in the Army National Guard. He then spent several years working at Forth Monmouth and volunteering for Jackson First Aid where he met some of his lifelong friends, his children would grow up calling Aunts and Uncles.
Michael enjoyed sports such as soccer, softball and bowling. He bowled leagues for several years at Thunderbowl and Ocean Lanes and passed on his knowledge and love for sports to his children, who went on to play soccer, softball, baseball, basketball, volleyball and bowling.
Michael was preceded in death by his son Christopher A. Bucci, Sisters Loraine Cross, Melanie Egert, parents Anthony Bucci, Dixie Hacker and Francis Miller and is survived by his Siblings Anthony Bucci, Martin Bucci, Bill Bucci, Sherry Janda and their significant others, as well as numerous nieces and nephews; his children Rebecca Bucci, Jacqueline Rummel, Hope McNeally, Carolyn Goodman, Michael Bucci their spouses, and 8 grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, February 15th from 12:30pm – 2:30pm at one of his favorite places, Ocean Lanes (2085 Lanes Mill Road, Lakewood NJ 08701). Please come join the family on the lanes to bowl and pay your respects. There will be light buffet of food available for all who attend.
