He worked as a supervisor at Allstate Plastic Company in South Amboy for over 40 years.
He enjoyed going on trips to Atlantic City to gamble. He had a love for dogs. He was a family man and enjoyed spending time with family. He was a very devoted husband to his wife, Kathy.
Michael is predeceased by his son, Michael Hamlett; and other family members.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Hamlett; his daughter, Debra Leedom and her husband, Richard; his sister, Georgann Plaia and her husband, Pete; his nieces, Jenn Plaia and Stacy Olofson; his granddaughters, Alexus Pratt, Alyssa Hamlett, Christina Hamlett; and great grandkids; his stepkids, Wayne Famular, Lonnie Famular and his wife, Lisa, Tracy Ansley, and Thomas Rowe and his wife, Shannon Rowe.
