Namita Barua, 65, of Toms River passed away at Robert Wood Johnson hospital on January 14, 2023. Born in Chittagong, Bangladesh where she lived for 28 years, after emigrating to the US she lived in Harrison, NJ for 20 years and then moved to Union, NJ where she resided for 15 years and just a little over a year she resided in Toms River, NJ.
She was a wife to Manoj Kumar Barua; mother of 3 to Shoma, Sutapa, and Jason; a grandmother of 5, Dylan, Chloe, and granddogs Fluffy, Shadow, Ponyo & Oreo; and a mother-in-law to Ashish and Shuvo.
She loved to cook and have everyone together. She loved her children and grandchildren to no end. Her little bodyguard was Oreo… you have to get a clearance from him to get anywhere near her. She was beloved by everyone she met. She loved going shopping and spending time at home with her family the most. She loved decorating her home and getting new ideas on how to decorate. She missed her birth country of Bangladesh and would watch countless hours of Bangla TV series and news on TV to keep up with everything going on there. Anyone she met she greeted with a hug and embraced them as if she’s known them all her life.
She is survived by her 3 children… Shoma Yadav, Sutapa Barua, & Jason Barua. Sisters, Amita Bhattacharjee & Mita (Manju)Chowdhury and brother's Poyoj Chakraborty, and Anjan Chakraborty.
