Patricia C. Flynn

She was born in Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia, PA, in 1949 to Charles L. and Sarah Elizabeth “Betty” Flynn (nee MacDonald).

Pat graduated from Upper Dublin High School and Lansdale Business School. She worked in accounting at a several businesses ultimately retiring from Ocean County Library in 2017 after many years.

Pat was an aunt to 28 nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and “great greats”. She took interest in all of them. Pat was a beloved cousin who always looked forward to family gatherings such as the Christmas Brunch at Cousin Maryann’s. Pat was a person of faith, a Godmother to 5, and faithful friend to many. She loved to travel and shared numerous adventures in Europe with her good friend, Jody. She loved exploring local or regional areas on weekend trips with Mary and our “Sister’s Days Out” closer to home activities. We never embarked on those outings without cheese sticks and water for the ride. Pat was always prepared. Pat had a standing phone call on Thursdays at 8:00 with Kathy to catch up on the weekly happenings in the family.

She was petite, but tough as nails, as she faced everything that came her way towards the end of her life. She lived all her life with quiet grace and fervent faith with a little humor thrown in. She was an example for us of a life well lived.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Betty Flynn, and is survived by her siblings, Kathy (David), Liz, Tony, Mary and Jane (Rob) along with 28 nieces and nephews, and many more loving family members and friends.

A visitation for Patricia will be held Wednesday, September 4, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River, NJ 08753. A mass will take place Thursday, September 5, 2024 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 685 Hooper Avenue, Toms River, NJ 08753. A burial will occur Thursday, September 5, 2024 at Ocean County Memorial Park, 1722 Silverton Road, Toms River, NJ 08753.
