

Paul K. Sheldon, 70, of Bayville, passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at home peacefully surrounded by his loving family after a valiant battle with pancreatic cancer for 28 months. Born and raised in Paterson, he resided in Riverdale from1980 until his job relocated him to Mexico City in 2002 for several years, moving to Ocean County in 2004. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree from William Paterson College and proudly served with the Air National Guard for 6 years. Paul began his longtime career in the textile industry with Ciba in Fair Lawn, who then merged with Compton Knowles and later was acquired by Yorkshire Chemicals. His dedicated 42 year career started in technical sales, then marketing and retired from an Upper Management position in 2005. Paul loved life; he enjoyed hunting, fishing, his boat “Glory Days”, skiing, travelling, especially to his favorite place Kauai, HI, gardening and most of all spending time with the love his life, Nancy.
Surviving are his devoted wife of 37 years Nancy (Bullen) Sheldon; two sisters Joan Bender and her husband Rev. Robert G. Bender of Ocean Grove and Margaret Egedy of Pompton Plains; his brother-in-law Eugene Egedy of Midland Park; sister-in-law Helen Bullen of Toms River; his nieces, whom he held dear to his heart, Stephanie and Vannessa Bullen of Toms River; and many more caring nieces, nephews and cousins. Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Kenneth Nahum and his incredible staff for their compassionate care given to Paul over the past two years; they were like family to him.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until the Memorial Service at 12:00 p.m. at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St., Toms River.
