

Preston S. Jackson, affectionately known as Tati to his family, 76, of Lakewood NJ passed away at Jersey Shore Medical Center on 23 February 2024 surrounded by his Family. Born and raised in Richmond VA where he attended Armstrong HS, before he moved to NYC until he began his service in the US Army in 1966. It was during this time he met the Love of his Life and they eventually settled in Lakewood NJ.
Preston was a 13 year veteran of the Army where he served proudly. After the Army he began his career at Kimball Medical Center as Executive Head Chef until he retired as the Asst Director of Dietary. He was an avid sports fan whether it be HS, college, the Olympics and his favorite teams were the NY Yankees, the Boston Celtics, and the NY Giants. He enjoyed coaching Baseball and was devoted to his family and especially loved spending time with his grand and great grandchildren.
Preston was predeceased by his Grandmother Eva "Big Mama", Mother Jacqueline, Aunt Vilma, brothers Luther "Butch", James "Bubba", and sister Melody.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years Christel, son Sven and his wife Crystal, son Andrew, Daughter Carolyn and her husband Benton "Boot" and daughter Pamela, his grandchildren Brittney and her husband Jay, Brandon and his girlfriend Amyah, Andrew ``AJ”, Carolyn, Amiya, Breonna, Briana and Jordyn, and his great grandchildren Anyla, Brandon "little Brandon", and Ariah. He also had a host of bonus children and grandchildren.
He is also survived by his sister Janis and her life partner Gerald, sister Jacqueline "Gay" and her husband Ferris, his brother Ronald and a host of nieces and nephews.
Preston’s visitation will be held on Saturday 2 March 2024 at Horizon 1329 RT 37 W, Toms River NJ 08755. Family viewing is from 10am-11am. Public Viewing is from 11am-1pm and a service will follow which will conclude at 2pm. There will be a CELEBRATION OF LIFE at 142 Dugan Lane Toms River NJ 08753 following the service.
An organization he believed strongly in was the American Diabetes Association if you choose to donate to a worthy cause.
