

Robert F. Eick, 93, of the Pelican Island section of Berkeley Township, NJ, passed away on March 27, 2016, at his daughter’s home in Cedar Grove, NJ. He was born in Orange, NJ, to George and Catherine Eick. Robert was a proud veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S. Army, 9th Bombardment Group, 20th Air Force, Tinian Island in the Mariannas. He was a past commander of VFW Post 2856 Livingston, an officer at VFW Post 6063 Toms River, and a member of American Legion Post 201 Livingston. Robert was employed at Wright Aeronautical Corp., and the Flight Departments of Exxon Corp., Triangle Publications, and Water H. Annenberg in Philadelphia, PA. Robert was a communicant and member of the Holy Name Society at Our Lady of Perpetual Help R.C. Church, Seaside Heights, NJ.
He was predeceased by his son John Eick, and his brothers: Raymond, George, and Peter. He is survived by his daughters: Elizabeth of Cedar Grove, Charlotte of West Caldwell, and Lisa of Goldsboro, NC; his son Robert Eick Jr. of Scotch Plains; his brother Edward of SC; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his extended family and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Seaside Heights, NJ, on Thursday. Burial followed at St. Joseph Cemetery in Toms River, NJ.
