Rose Gilbertson

Born in Nutley, Mrs. Gilbertson lived there most of her life until retiring in 1986 and relocating to the Toms River area. She was a devoted Born Again Christian always putting Jesus and her family first. In addition to her faith, Mrs. Gilbertson loved Christmas and the joyous spirit the holiday brought. She was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and enjoyed getting her hair and nails done regularly.

Rose was predeceased by her siblings, John, James, Thomas, Patsy, Anthony, Mary, Al, Frank, Natale, and Yolanda. Surviving are her children, Karyn Peccatiello, Robyn Scarnegi (Carl Madeo), John James Gilbertson, and James John Gilbertson (Maryann); grandchildren, Stacy, David, Christie, Tommie, Alexis, CJ, Leah, Michael,

Jessica, Robbie and Dennis; seventeen great-grandchildren, with another on the way; one great-great-grandchild; siblings, Anne Sena, and Rose's twin, Dorothy Dentato; and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends near and far.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 7, 2016 from 1-6 pm at Horizon Funeral & Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 West, Toms River. Cremation is private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Amyloidosis Foundation at www.amyloidosis.org .
