Beloved Husband, Father, and Pop Pop
Born on November 12, 1948, and welcomed to heaven on March 2, 2026, at the age of 77. Shannon was known for his love of history, epic dad jokes, and the uncanny knack of finding the best pizza and cheesesteaks in town. He is remembered by his loving family on earth and reunited in peace with his mother, Margaret; father, William; and older brother, Harry. When shown a picture of his mother in the days before his passing, Shannon’s eyes sparkled as he whispered, “Beautiful.” How joyful their reunion must have been.
Shannon’s daughter, Kelly and wife, Susan Cordano, never left his side in the last days of his life. When he finally saw the light, Kelly described the childlike wonder and breathtaking smile that spread across his face. He crossed over in Kelly’s embrace as she passed on a hug from his brothers. He was visited by many of his favorite people in the days leading to his passing: Shannon Jr. (his son); William and Michael (brothers), Pat and Dona (sister in laws). Beloved granddaughters: Alisha Storms, Alex Troccoli-Duff, Sophia Troccoli, Angelina Sommeling, and Fallon Roach. Michael Troccoli (son-in-law). And longtime friends Kathleen and Denise Samler. Remembered forever by grandchildren Antonio Grant and Adrianna Sommeling.
Mark 6:3, “Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon.”
A talented craftsman and carpenter, Shannon ran a successful business for many years. He built veterinary hospitals, Heritage Dairy stores, communities, and a legacy of love everywhere he went. He was known by his colleagues as a hard worker, generous boss, and lover of long lunches with friends. He continued serving others through Habitat for Humanity until his retirement.
Shannon lives on through beloved memories and in the hearts of those who cherished him most.
