

Sharron (Barbieri) Brauer, 80, of Whiting, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2025. Born in Teaneck, NJ, Sharron spent her childhood in Northvale, where she created a lifetime of cherished memories with her parents, Lucy and Robert and her five siblings, Bobby, Linda, Billy, Tina and Jill. She was married to Emil Brauer and moved to Belleville, NJ where she worked as a Dental Assistant until she moved to Whiting in 2003.
A devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend, Sharron’s life revolved around her family. She was always there to lend a helping hand, particularly when it came to adding her creative touch to family celebrations. Whether it was decorating, crafting, or preparing favors for special occasions, Sharron’s heart was in every detail, making each gathering more meaningful and memorable.
Her passions extended to crafting and crocheting, which she enjoyed sharing with her family, especially her grandchildren. Sharron had a remarkable ability to make people feel loved and cherished through her thoughtful creations, like the beautiful wreaths she crafted and the personalized gifts she so lovingly gave.
Sharron is survived by her children, Melissa Scalvino and Kristen Brauer, her son in law John Scalvino, her beloved grandchildren, Nicholas and Alexa Irizarry, her great granddaughter Callie and her cherished siblings. Her warmth, generosity, and ever-present smile will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 PM at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, stjude.org.
