Sidney A. Twardus

Sidney was born in Linden, N.J., lived in Edison, Manalapan and Manchester.

Sidney was an active participant of the NJ Motor Truck Association. He worked at his father’s car repair business in Linden, Con Wimers Linden, Amboy Generators Service in Perth Amboy, Foley Caterpillar Piscataway, & Hoover Trucks Toms river before retiring to spend time with his beautiful wife and family.

Sidney was predeceased by his father Sidney, mother Christine, brother Joseph (Richard).

Sidney is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Arlene and his two children Keith and Cherie with three grandchildren, Nicholas, Kasey, and Marissa; his sister Ellen Lambert and brother Daniel Twardus and extended family.

Sidney was a devoted and loving husband and caring father & grandfather. A true gentleman that loved life and had no regrets. He would always bring a smile to your face after spending a few moments with him. He was a man of integrity and was truly committed to his family. A saintly man for sure. One of his greatest joys was spending time with his family and friends. Sidney had some of the best friendships anyone could have wish for. He will be greatly missed by all.

Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Mass of the Christian Burial in honor of Sidney at St. Luke’s Roman Catholic Church, located at 1674 Old Freehold Road, Toms River, NJ 08755 on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at 10:30 AM.
