

He was born July 20th, 1946 in Brooklyn, NY to Wilfred Joseph and Lou Elena (Dailey) Fitzgerald.
He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army who served during the Vietnam War. During his time of service, he was awarded several medals, including the Purple Heart, the Bronze Star, the Air Medal and the Good Conduct Medal, as well as several marksmanship badges (sharpshooter).
Thomas lived and worked for most of his life in New Jersey. He retired from Military Security at the Naval Weapons Station Earle, Colts Neck, NJ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his Niece Lorie Ann Kepler, and his Nephew John David Kepler.
He is survived by his sister June A. Fitzgerald, his nieces, Mary Parker, Dr. June Wallison (Mark Wallison), Tammy Kepler, Tricia Morehouse (Stephen Morehouse) and Leanne Tatum (Allan K. Tatum IV), a great niece and many great nephews. He was a loving brother, uncle and friend. He will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 7th, from 11AM till 12:30PM at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River, NJ 08753. A committal Service will be held at 1PM at Whiting Memorial Park, 600 Route 530 Whiting, NJ.
