Violet Elizabeth Pecina, 97, of Toms River, passed away on April 1, 2016 at Southern Ocean Nursing Center in Manahawkin. Born in Linden, NJ, she lived there for many years before moving to Toms River over 35 years ago. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church in Toms River. Violet enjoyed reading and spending time with her cherished family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and will be dearly missed.
She was predeceased by her husband William Pecina in 1991; her father and mother, who she was very close to, Francis and Florence de Montmorency. Surviving are her daughter Carol Stefanowicz and her husband Stan of Manahawkin; 2 grandchildren Scott Stefanowicz and Christine Kaufman; and 4 adored great grandchildren Angela, Philip, Ryan and Amy.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 5, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St., Toms River. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Toms River.
