William Joseph Talerico, 86, of Beachwood, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at Community Medical Center in Toms River. He was born in Hoboken, NJ and lived there for many years. He summered in Beachwood since 1980 and permanently moved there in 2006. William was a longshoreman in the Newark area for 39 years, retiring in 1994. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force as a radio operator during WW II. William enjoyed cooking, bowling, fishing and spending time with his cherished family.
He was predeceased by his son James in 1994. Surviving are his beloved wife of 63 years, Anna (DeCandia) Talerico; two sons Dominick of Beachwood and William of Union Beach; his brother James of North Brunswick; two sisters Margaret Clancy of West New York and Josephine Amato of Morristown; 8 grandchildren; and a great grandson.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, Dec. 12 from 9:00 a.m. until the prayer service at 10:50 a.m. at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St. Toms River. Burial will follow at Ocean County Memorial Park in Toms River.
