Not a day goes by that I don't think of you. We had a very special bond that I thank you greatly for. Your wisdom, teachings, and spirit were an inspiration to all. We spent countless summers together. You showed me how to live life but also how to love it. I can not believe that you're gone, so suddenly and unexpected. You weren't my great uncle, you were my grandfather, my brother, my friend. The greatest gift I could have given you was driving you around the island we both loved and being by your side always. Now I realize that your presence, your teachings, and your love were your gift to me. With me, your memory will always be eternal. It has been hard continuing with you gone. You were a puzzle piece that was always required to complete the puzzle. I just can't believe it. Out of all your lessons to me, the most cherished one that I think daily is: "continue your education to the highest degree possible and don't stop learning. However, don't ever forget how I taught you to plant a flower and dig the earth in our garden, as that is what makes life more beautiful and enjoyable". Well Theo Guy, where do i even begin?  There are not enough words to describe you.  You were your mothers son. A beautiful, kind, soul with a heart of gold.  You loved everybody. You gave your heart to everybody. You weren't just my uncle.  You were my father.  You gave guidance without judgement.  You gave advice because you cared. You were a simple man.  Who just wanted to be surrounded by family and love. You loved our children with the genuine love that you had always showed us.  All of my memories of you are ones with love, laughter and kindness.   You made Christmas one of the most  remarkable holidays not only as a child but as an adult.  Our children experienced the same joy.  You touched them the same way you touched us.  They are hurting the same way we are.  Few people have that impact on all the generations in their family.  I am forever grateful for our vacations in Greece with you.  The laughs we had. Taking you to the beach with your beloved wife.  Sitting in Sami by the water, drinking coffee while you told us stories of when you came to Canada.  That afternoon we all climbed up this mountain for hours for you to show us a historic sight.  I am amazed to this day how we all did it, not one person complaining.  But who could look into those beautiful blue eyes of yours and think it wasn't worth it.  You were our beloved Theo Guy.  Whatever your wish was we did our best to make it happen.  47 beautiful years spent with you.  Never saw you angry, never heard you raise your voice.  Thank you, for putting me on my first roller coaster.  I was with you in the hospital the night all of our lives changed, held your hand, you were never afraid.  Even in that moment, you squeezed my hand to give me strength.  I am forever grateful to the lord that i got to say i love you and heard you say it back.  Those were the last words you said to me.  I will never forget that moment.  You will never be forgotten.  You were the foundation of this family.

He was my uncle by name but really my best friend, mentor and older brother.  As young children we could not properly pronounce his first name so one day my sister Jean started to call him "Uncle Guy" and that is how he was known ever since.  I was so privileged to have grown up with him always there for me and my family providing his undivided love and attention.  He was never too busy or too tired or not in the mood or dealing with something else more important in his life or business to spend time with us.  When we were together we were the most important thing to him and I will never forget how every Christmas he would spend countless hours helping us put together our new toys and was then able to even continue this tradition as a great-uncle when everybody else still left the room when they saw a small child with a new box and instructions in their hand.  I am so blessed that he not only touched me but my wife and all three of my children who love him just as much as I do. He taught me to love life, love knowledge and never be afraid of a challenge no matter how difficult it is.  I will always remember our times together going out for coffee and discussing business, politics and current events.  This was invaluable as it made me appreciate the importance of reading and being up to date with what was happening around the world.  He had the most patience and tolerance of anyone I knew.  I will never forget the time my Aunt Despina and cousin Frank visited us from Australia and he was heading to Chicago with them to visit my uncles and family there.  He wanted me to come along and I had to obtain a US VISA at the last minute.  We went to the US consulate three times back and forth in one day by streetcar together due to constantly changing bureaucratic requirements but not once did he ever say sorry this is not going to be possible or show any sign of giving up or how it was a waste of time. "Not possible"  was not part of his vocabulary and I am so glad he lived his life that way every single day doing what he loved whether it was running his businesses or back home in Greece retiring and fixing his childhood home. He shared in all my achievements in my academic years, in my family and professional career and business and taught me skills in math and finance that I still use to this day.  For my entire life knowing him not once did he ever show any anger or hostility but if I saw him and he called me "Nikola" I knew I was in trouble and about to be reprimanded for saying or doing something he did not approve.  He was the best businessman I knew succeeding in both restaurant and retail and took great care of his customers to provide them the best product or service but also to get to know them as people too. I would watch him as a young boy listen to a customer who needed a little help or support and he would go out of his way either financially or otherwise to take care of them as best he could. He taught me that they were the reason why he was so successful and never be afraid to give something back when needed and I use this is my own business to this day.  I am so grateful that even at the end when I spoke to him and he told me he was not afraid, I told him I already knew that and we both  knew exactly what that meant.  I will always love him and continue to  have him next to me as I will ask "What would Uncle Guy do?" and then be able to learn and  obtain the correct answer. Thank you for everything you did for me and I am so happy and grateful that all three of my children were so fortunate to experience your love, your patience and your sincerity as not their great-uncle but our Uncle Guy!!

Rest in peace to one of the most beautiful soul's i have ever met in my entire life.  To playing cards in your backyard of the beautiful home you worked on for years in your home Kefalonia, Greece. I will always remember your beautiful smile and amazing energy, and your laugh.  You are an angel that I will always hold in my heart.  I love you, Theo Guy.

When I was 18 years old Agisilaos took me under his wing with his lovely siblings and I had jus arrived in Toronto back in 1971 where I lived with the entire family and was welcomed as a brother and not a visitor. Agsilaos always put everyone first and was the most peaceful person I ever met with unselfish intentions. He always looked out fore everyone. May he rest in peace!
