It is with great sadness that the family announces the death of Aldo, in his 85th year. Loving husband to Maria. Beloved brother to Ida and Ettore (Marianne). Cherished uncle to many nephews and nieces.
Aldo immigrated to Canada from Italy in the 1950s and worked very hard to create a better life. He and his family built and ran a successful and well-respected Italian restaurant called Paisanos, which operated for many years in Bayview Village.
In his retirement, Aldo was able to indulge in his passion for gardening. He had an amazing green thumb, and was famous for being able to grow anything.
Aldo was generous in his hospitality. He was never happier than when he had family and friends gathered around the table, enjoying his homemade wine and home-cured prosciutto.
Aldo was a loving husband, a caring brother, a wonderful uncle, and a good friend to many. He will be truly missed.
