Loving husband of Clara Landers and loving father of Dwight, Bradley, Christopher, Neil and dear father-in-law of Meredith and Ann MacInnis. Cherished grandfather of Gregory, Marion, and Lydia.
Allan was predeceased by his eldest son, Gregory (1972) and parents Carmelita (nee MacDonald) and Malcolm MacInnis. He is survived by his brothers, Malcolm Vic MacInnis (Antigonish, N.S.), David MacInnis (Sydney, N.S.), and the mother of his children, Harolyn Wilson.
Allan was a graduate of College Sainte-Anne where he received a Bachelor of Arts and then on to Saint Francis Xavier University where he obtained his Bachelor of Education. Early in his working life he was a Captain with the Canadian Navy teaching special services officer candidates to prepare for entry into university studies. He then became a high school French teacher.
After retirement Allan worked, with much enthusiasm, in the Law Courts in Toronto. Allan was a man of many interests: he enjoyed cycling, skating, gardening, playing piano, collecting and listening to classical and jazz music, and read across a broad range of subjects. With much pleasure he began studying the Italian language and culture in his late seventies.
There will be a celebration of Allan's life at the Trull Funeral Home, 111 Danforth Ave., Toronto Ontario, on Monday, January 22, 2018 at 1:00 pm.
A donation in Allan's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
