On Thursday, November 7, 2013, Patra passed away peacefully at her home with Colleen and Marcie at her bedside. She was a Dietician at Toronto Western Hospital for over 34 years. Daughter of the late Ivy Prescod. Loving sister of Bettine Layne and David Prescod (Canada); Colleen Forde (Barbados). Sister-in-law of Stephen Layne and Nancy Prescod (Canada); Keith Forde (Barbados). Aunt of Marquita Layne, Janice and Jordan Prescod (Canada); Kevin and Cherise Forde (Barbados). Niece of John and Dennis Prescod (USA). Cousin of Tony, Carl, Edzil, and Oral, Rochester (USA); Andrea and William Greenidge, Joe Brathwaite (Canada); Gloria Prince (Barbados) and many others. Close friend of Maureen Coward, Marcie and Shayna Weekes, Sharona Weekes-Layne, Ana Leung, Ermetta Greenidge, Gloria Bourne, June Mascoll, Joyce Bailey and many others. Godmother of Kent Mascoll, Heather Robinson, Lori Taitt and many others. Friends and relatives will be received at GIFFEN-MACK FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 2570 Danforth Avenue (next to Main Street subway Station), Friday, November 15th, 2013 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Funeral Service on Saturday, November 16th at 10:00 a.m. at Oakwood Wesleyan Church, 33 Brandon Ave., Toronto, ON (Dufferin St. and Dupont Ave., 1 block north of Dupont). Interment will take place in Barbados. Online condolences can be made through Giffen-Mack Funeral Home.
