BARRY McCARTNEY passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, December 30th, 2015. Predeceased by his parents John and Agnes McCartney (nee Richardson), sister Maureen (Andy), brother Paul, and survived by his sister Christine (Jeff). Uncle to David (Veronica), Bryan (Ingrid), Darryn (Sherry), and Meaghan (Jeff). Great Uncle to Adam, Ryan and Emma. Barry worked in the Data Processing section of the Ontario Government Services Department for many years. Passionate about golf, skiing, auto racing and his 1979 Corvette, Barry lived life on his own terms until the very end. He will be dearly missed by friends and family at home and abroad. A Visitation will be held at Giffen-Mack Funeral Home, 2570 Danforth Ave., (at Main St. subway stn.), 416-698-3121, on Sunday, January 3rd, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, January 4th, 2016 at St. John's Catholic Church, 794 Kingston Road, Toronto, ON at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Mount Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada would be greatly appreciated.
