

Bertie has been reunited with his beloved wife the late Daphlin (July 2021). He is the loving Father of Elecia “Janice” Chantiluke, cherished grandfather of Kaylita Chantiluke, Roseanne Chantiluke and Alexandria Chantiluke and the loving brother of Noel Rose. Bertie will be dearly missed by his many nieces, nephews and friends including his dear friend Dez who was instrumental in ensuring that his needs were catered for following Daphlin's passing . He will be loved, deeply missed and forever remembered by all of his family and friends in Toronto, the UK, the USA and Jamaica.
A special thank you to his niece; Elsa Hunte, his nephew; Loel Campbell and his niece; Gem, for all of their help over the years and also to his caregiver; Valless and her team for the exceptional care provided.
Family and friends may visit at the Jerrett Funeral Home, 1141 St. Clair Ave. W. (1 block east of Dufferin) on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 from 11:00am-12:00pm. PLEASE NOTE: That the Covid19 restrictions that are currently in place limit the number of people that can be in the visitation room or the chapel in the funeral home, when you arrive, you may need to wait in line socially distanced until space becomes available. Masks are required.
The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at 12:00pm in the Funeral Home Chapel. PLEASE NOTE: That due to Covid 19, the number of family and friends that may attend the service will be limited.
Interment to follow at Prospect Cemetery, 1450 St. Clair Ave. W.
For those family and friends that are not able to attend the services in person, they will be live streamed so that you can join from home to view the services. The live stream will begin at approximately 11:20 with an open casket so that you are able to view Mr. Rose. The casket will be closed around 11:45, with the service beginning at 12:00. The interment service will begin once we arrive at the cemetery, approximately 20 minutes after the service at the funeral home ends, once we go live you will be able to join the live stream.
If desired, donations in Memory of Bertie Augustine Rose may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.
