Brian was born in Scarborough, Ontario, on November 18th, 1948, to the late Ralph and Madeline Medwid. He was one of six siblings: Pat (Lonnie), Rick (the late Judith), Raleigh, Cam, and Bonnie (the late Roy).
Brian loved classic cars, especially the 1956 Crown Victoria. He loved playing golf with “the guys” and his golf getaways; singing with his friends in The Invictones; playing pool with his childhood friend Ed; attending sporting events with his oldest grandson Jordan; playing cards; watching the Blue Jays and the Maple Leafs; and watching his favorite TV show, Wheel of Fortune. Brian had a great sense of humour until the end.
Brian will be watching over the love of his life, his wife Kathy, his daughters Heather and Tammy, his stepson Matthew, and his grandchildren, Jordan, Ella, Lennon, Naomi, and Levi, as well as all of his family and friends he loved so dearly.
Brian will be greatly missed by his wife, children, grandchildren, family, and friends.
He is now in the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Brian was greeted in Heaven by his parents, brother-in-law and best friend Roy, and other family and friends who welcomed him with love and peace.
A memorial visitation for Brian will be held Friday, March 15, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Jerrett Funeral Homes, 660 Kennedy Road. A Celebration of Life will occur at 1pm in the chapel, followed by a time of fellowship and refreshments in the lounge.
