Calvin John Ayers

Passed away peacefully Sunday March 26, 2017 at the age of 83, at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto.

Mr. Ayers was born September 15, 1933 in the small town of Point Crewe, Newfoundland to John and Effie Ayers (Bonnell). He moved to Toronto in the early 60's where he enjoyed life up until his death. Calvin had two sisters, Ruby (Rose) and Grace (Howse) who still reside in Newfoundland today. He married and divorced Muriel Shaw (Hollett). Mr. Ayers will be lovingly remembered by his two children Todd Calvin Ayers (wife Laurie, grandchildren Tyler and Kayla) and Kimberly Susan Ayers-Matwijec (husband Brad, grandchildren Dawson, Makenna and Malcolm). Calvin will be fondly remembered by his many friends, nieces and nephews. His city was Toronto and he loved everything Toronto offered. Mr. Ayers was a teacher, firefighter and cab driver. He loved to read the newspaper, socialize with friends, enjoy fine foods but particularly loved his sweets. A very special thank you to BiBi, Doreen, Adrian and Norma for all your love over the years. In lieu of flowers donations to The Salvation Army or the Scott's Mission in Toronto would be appreciated.
