Very peacefully passed away at Toronto Western Hospital surrounded by her family on September 20, 2013. Predeceased by her loving husband Nicola Galeazza, loving husband of 63 years. Loving Mother of Mary (Aurelio) Iantosca, Dominic (Gina), Sylvie (Benny) Vitti, Carmine and Joe (Laura). Cherished Nonna of Tara (Paul-Simon) Muldowney, David, Lisa, Monica, Dana (Seth) Long, Mario and Great Grand Mother of Laine-Marie and Piper. Dear sister of Assunta (Predeceased), Matteo (Predeceased), Antonietta, Giuseppina, Rosa (Predeceased), Domenico and Vittoria. Carmela will be remembered and missed by all of her family and friends. Friends will be received at the Jerrett Funeral Home, 1141 St. Clair Ave. W., on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9pm, and on Tuesday from 7-9pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Nicholas of Bari Catholic Church, 1277 St. Clair Ave. W., on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at 10am. Interment to follow at Mount Hope Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
