It is with great sorrow that the family announce the passing of Carmine Gianvito. He was born on March 11, 1937 in Montefino, Teramo, Abruzzi, Italy and passed away surrounded by his loving family on August 24, 2025 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada at the age of 88 years.
He has been reunited in Heaven with his parents, sisters and brothers.
Beloved husband and best friend of Silvana for more than 56 years. Loving father of Vincenzo (Diane), Stefania (Arnold De Melo), Paolo (Susana De Melo) and cherished Nonno of Chiara, Clea, Cruz, Navarro and Mateus. Cherished brother of Maria, Elisabetta, Antonio (Antonietta), brother-in-law of Addolorata (Romandino), Ilario (Antonietta), Filomena and Teresa. Carmine will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and their families.
Carmine was vibrant until the end and valued hard work, faith, and most of all family. He was happiest when he was surrounded by his wife, children, grandchildren, and extended family, who were privileged to be with him until his final moments.
He will be forever loved, remembered and missed by all of his family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family have requested donations in Memory of Carmine Gianvito be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
