Claudio Batista

Claudio was born on July 26, 1939 in Fernais da Ajuda, Sao Miguel, Portugal.

He is survived by his daughters; Belinda (Maurice) and Melissa (Michael), grandchildren; Reina, Luna, Aliana, and Ashton, siblings; Francisco, Ester, and Joao, and cousins; Luciano (Joanna), their son; Michael Bettencourt, John ( Kim), their daughters; Madison and Brooklyn Bettencourt, Berta (Carlos) their daughter; Lina, her daughter; Sadie Tavares.

Claudio was known for his cheerful demeanor and his love for Portuguese Bands, and would often whistle his favorite harmonies as he went about his day. No matter what he was doing, his signature whistle was a familiar sound in his family.

Cremation has taken place.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday November 6, 2024 from 8:30am-10:30am at the Jerrett Funeral Home- St. Clair, located at 1141 St. Clair Ave. W.

Celebration of Claudio’s life will follow promptly after the visitation at 11am at St. Mary of the Angels Church, located at 1481 Dufferin St. Please note that parking is very limited.

Following mass, burial will take place at Prospect Cemetery, 1450 St. Clair Ave. W.
