It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Daniela Amalia Segat, born on October 10, 1948, in Mansue, Italy. Daniela peacefully left us on March 31, 2025. Daniela is now reunited with her beloved parents, Paolo and Anna Magro.
Leaving behind her devoted spouse, Mario, with whom she shared 54 precious years of marriage.
She is lovingly remembered by her three children, Lisa (Robert), Sara, and Lori (Alex), as well as her cherished grandchildren, Olivia, Emily, Lucas, and Liana. Daniela is also survived by her beloved brother, John (Maddalena).
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Brampton Civic Hospital for the compassionate care they provided to Daniela.
Daniela will be lovingly remembered for her many passions, including taking long walks, solving crosswords, and enjoying her weekly People magazines. She was always up to date with pop-culture, and had a fondness for game shows. She was known for her wonderful cooking and her famous cherry cheesecake, which will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of enjoying it. Most importantly, Daniela cherished her family above all else; the love of her family and the warmth of family gatherings were at the core of her life.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, April 3rd, 2025, from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Delmoro Funeral Home, 61 Beverly Hills Dr., North York.
A Funeral Mass celebrating Daniela's life will be held at St. Philip Neri Parish, 2100 Jane St., North York, on Friday, April 4th, 2025 at 10:45 AM. PLEASE NOTE: On the morning of the Mass, we would ask that all family and friends go directly to the church as there will not be a visitation prior to the Funeral Mass.
The entombment will be held at Beechwood Cemetery.
