So many memories of a great personal evangelist.  He taught me how to be an unforgettable witness while crossing with the traffic light near Danforth Gospel Hall.  Dave would hand a tract to someone coming the other way and hand them a tract, saying: "Jesus died for you and no matter how hard you try, you will never forget this moment."  Brilliant.

Thank God for the life and testimony of this servant of God.  May we continue to carry forward the type of service he has left such a legacy of. Please be comforted. This is just a break, then rejoicing.

Marilyn, thanks for sharing Dave with us.  The times you both came to the Falls  to visit us when we were home on furlough were very special moments.  There was something special about Dave, his quiet manerism, his friendliness.  You were blessed to have been married to a man of character.  May the Lord comfort you.

Marilyn, I'm sorry to hear of Dave's passing, but his homecoming is a joyful one. Thank you so much for your care and kindness toward my Mom.  She's been told about Dave, but not sure she's understanding.  Take care.  Blessings.

Fond memories from summers at Elim Lodge. We were also blessed to have Mr and Mrs Grieve attend our wedding in Rochester New York.  
Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints. (Psalm 116).

So many good memories:
1.  He took me to his hometown of Beebe, Quebec one long weekend.  We caught a ton of perch on Lake Memphamagog, visited the local taxidermist, and attended a rodeo in Stanstead.  His mother gave me a hand-knitted scarf in the Barclay tartan which just happened to be the clan of my paternal grandmother.
2.  We spent weekends going door to door and farm to farm with the Gospel in Haliburton, while sleeping in the trailer that he purchased in order to facilitate this.
3.  We had a little Bibile study with Jerry and Rose one Wednesday evening and on the following Saturday morning Jerry gave his heart to the Lord.
4.  I was with Dave in his basement bedroom of the Wilmott's house when he phoned to talk to Jerry.  When Rose answered he gently said, "Rose when are you going to get saved?"  Not long afterward she did embrace the Lord Jesus as her Saviour.
5.  Eileen and I on two occasions enjoyed a meal with Dave, Marilyn, Ross and Emma at Ed's Warehouse.  
6.  During a long weekend in Chicago, Dave was musing on the parable of the prodigal son.  He imaginged the boy struggling with the no-brainer that he should return to his father.  He envisioned him asking someone, "Do you think the pigs will miss me?"  We laughed till we thought our sides would split.

Those are just a few of many good times spent with Dave.  He had a good influence on me and was a great blessing to me.

My condolences to the Grieve family. He was gone but is good memories are still alive. I believe,  he's in a better place & we shall all see him again on the resurrection of the righteousness where we meet and part no more.

May the Lord grant the beautiful family the grace and comfort to bear this great lost. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord, we believe that Papa David is in a better place. Thanks for making a difference in our lives for indeed your seed shall be mighty upon the earth.

I will miss you very much dear brother David.  Our conversations on the phone and visits together in the summer with family.  You are one
of the best brothers anyone could have.   I miss you already but one
day we will all be together again, never more to part with the Lord.
It's so wonderful to know this!

I knew brother David for about one year only. That was enough to see and feel how gentle he was. He always rejoiced to see any Gospel outreach exercise. I heard other brothers mentioning his name as part of their testimony. He impacted many eternally.  He was a quiet brother but would never miss the opportunity to share a word fitly spoken. I was inspired by his wisdom and Christian life. He would certainly be dearly missed by the family, the assembly, and all those who knew him.  He was ready to depart and be with his beloved redeemer but he always wanted to see more people saved and coming to Christ. He was in a strait betwixt two. I loved brother David and I love the whole blessed family. They will be in our prayers. 

According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death.  Philippians 1:20

I will not say to you and your family my dear Brother Good Bye, by untill we we meet again.
