David Edward Caird Sweezey

Passed away at Sunnybrook Veterans Residence after a long, full life on Monday, February 24, 2014, in his 89th year. Beloved husband of the late C. Beverly Sweezey since 1954. Loving father of Neil (Arlene) and Ned. Cherished grandfather of Karen and Christopher. Predeceased by his sisters Margaret and Eleanor, and by his brother Robert. Affectionately remembered by his niece Andrea Cameron and nephews Austin Sweezey (Marie), Ken and Jim Wasmund, Kim (Jessie) and Keith (Patricia) Jarvi. David graduated from Queen's University, BA (1950) and BSc (1953), and from the University of Toronto, MSc(PL) (1982). He was a Civil Engineer, Ontario Land Surveyor and dedicated Ontario civil servant for many years. David was devoted to his family.

The Sweezey family wishes to thank the staff at Sunnybrook's Unit K3C for their excellent and compassionate care and kindness.

Friends may call at the TRULL "NORTH TORONTO" FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTRE, 2704 Yonge St., (5 blocks south of Lawrence Ave) on Friday, February 28, 2014 from 2:00pm until 4:00pm, and 7:00pm until 9:00pm. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 9:30am with a reception afterwards. Private interment to follow at the Cataraqui Cemetery in Kingston.
