Domenico was born on October 20th, 1934 in the small town of Introdacqua, L’Aquila. In 1955, he immigrated to Canada, then 1960 he married his wife, Lucia. A year later had their daughter, Anna Maria. He worked as a welder and in the hospitality industry at the Royal York Hotel and Toronto Pearson Airport. During his free time and retirement, he enjoyed tending to his impressive garden, watching boxing matches, and cheering on Italian soccer teams. At family gatherings, Domenico showcased his incredible card skills by playing his favourite game, scopa. This is where he spent quality time with his three nipoti (grandchildren).
He will be remembered for his bountiful garden filled with tomatoes, zucchinis, beans, and grapevines. His infamous catchphrases, unbeatable winning streaks in scopa, and the love and pride he had for his family will leave a lasting impact.
Domenico will be reunited with his wife Lucia, his parents Raffaele and Clementina, and his siblings Raffaele, Concezio, and Filomena. He will be immensely missed by his daughter, Anna Maria (Robert) and his three grandchildren Andrew (Erin), Christine (Tyler), and Sandra.
