My sincere condolences on the loss of Doon. I have known Doon for over 38+ years and I am so sorry I missed his service. He was a wonderful person with a beautiful caring soul. May you Forever Rest Peacefully Doon.

Doon Maraj.... The KING... PIP... As they say... All Good things Come to an END. 

The times when you Visited Trinidad in my younger days, we rarely conversed. My Memory of you is of the man I would Visit in Toronto when on Vacation and for the 6 years I stayed with you while Going to school. Countless hours trying to get the winning combinations on the Proline Sports Games. 

Something I learnt from you " Everyday ain't Sunday or Expect the Unexpected " You would pick some of the strangest combinations and somehow manage to succeed. The "Underdog bet".  

Then there were our Daily visits to Duffys Drive In Restaurant where we spent countless hours laughing and spending time with great friends Like Elton, Ping, Calvin,  Holly, Dion, Rob and countless others. 

I could still Hear your Voice... Varooos, Rajuice, Ro when you would call us to help with some minor task which we would happily do for you, although it would  cost you a $3 when I was involved . Be it trips to James, Julie , No Frills or the Danforth.... I enjoyed every minute Uncle. 

Little did I know when I left you in March 2025, it would the last time I see you.  I never got to say thanks for your Hospitality and GENEROSITY toward me for the years I stayed with you. Endless Food and Snacks, "pocket change" for any outing i was going on and the paying off my Bills at Duffys when I had a tab 😆.  

So now I will say to you... THANKS Mr Doon for all the Laughs and Great Memories i will take with me until we meet again.

Just Another Wonderful Moment In Time .. RIP my dear friend.

I’ll always remember the conversations we shared, the ones that were never short, never quiet, and always full of life. You had a joke for everything, whether it was funny or not, I always was able to smile. 

Our talks about cricket and football are the ones I’ll miss the most.

Those moments meant more to me than I probably ever said. I’ll carry them with me always.

First Of All My Sincere Sympathy To All Of Doon’s Family It’s Never Easy Saying Goodbye To A Family Member .. Secondly it breaks my heart to loose a very good friend/ Trini brother like Doon we have some really good memories from years past and I’ll miss his friendship and his unique character at the same time let us know fully he is resting comfortably in God’s hands. May We All Find Comfort In Know This. Please note my wife Delia also sends her condolences.

I will always remember Uncle Doon as someone whose heart knew no bounds. He was endlessly proud of me, not in a distant way, but in a way that made you feel seen, and valued. 

His support was never conditional, he gave wholeheartedly, regardless of how big or small, it was always sincere. 

 I’ll always carry with me the warmth of his pride and generosity, and the quiet strength it gave me to be the best version of myself. 

You will be missed but your memories will live within me forever.

As a kid growing up with Uncle Doon, I remember him reading the newspapers all day. As an adult, he still read them, and though it wasn’t literally all day, I’m certain he read every word of The Daily Express and The Guardian—hahaha!
He was born with a disability, but he never let it define him. He embraced life fully and fearlessly, a true force to be reckoned with. He showed us that no matter the challenge, you can still reign a kingdom—that was the power he carried.
Uncle Doon was a proud uncle to all his nieces and nephews. I remember how happy he was to show us off to his friends: “This is my youngest niece,” he’d say, “Archie’s last daughter, she works in accounting.”
I also remember the storybooks he brought home from Canada. The Dragon’s Egg was one of my favorites.
I have countless memories of my uncle, from childhood into adulthood. To some, they may seem small, but to me, they are what made him unforgettable—a kind, free-spirited soul.
Farewell, Uncle Doon. I salute you, King.

My friendship with Doon has been over three Decades. We had many great conversations with a wide variety  of topics. 
He was a good person with a kind heart and a great sense of humor.  We have shared many laughs. He never understood social media even though he was a social butterfly.  Your name will be talked about long after your're gone bud in a real good way because you've made quite the impression with everyone with whom you connected with.Sleep on my friend.
