Passed away peacefully at Markham Stouffville Hospital on May 13, 2014. Born within the sound of Bow bells on August 22, 1932. Beloved husband and best friend of Nelda nee Miller. Only child of the late Edgar and Jennie Downes of England. Derek will be sadly missed by his extended family and his numerous friends.
Family and friends will be received at Jerrett Funeral Home Scarborough at 660 Kennedy Road, 416-266-4404, on Friday May 16,2014 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. Funeral Service in the funeral home chapel on Saturday May 17, 2014 at 10am. Cremation to follow.
