Eduarda Pereira, 78 of Toronto, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones.
Born on September 16, 1946, in San Miguel Ribeira Grande, Portugal. Eduarda was a devoted wife of 42 years to Eduardo Sousa Pereira (passed in 2015) sister to Oriana Freitas Cabral, José Eduardo Cabral, Floriana Jesus Cabral, Cândido Cabral, mother to Ricardo and Jaime (Brittney) and Avo to her only granddaughter Evelyn, whose joy and laughter brought Eduarda immense happiness in her later years. The two shared a bond that can never be diminished. She will be missed by many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
A woman of quiet grace, Eduarda dedicated her life to caring for her family. She had a passion for gardening, cooking and cleaning. In the fall, she could often be found pressing grapes for homemade wine, or grinding peppers for homemade pepper sauce. She loved spending time with her family doing what made her happiest.
Eduarda’s legacy is one of hard working, resilience, love, and laughter which were values she instilled in her children and granddaughter. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Rest gently, Eduarda. Your resilience lives on.
