

Peacefully at home on Thursday, March 22, 2012 surrounded by his loving and adoring family after a valiant and courageous battle with cancer. Jim is survived by his devoted children Timothy Edward and Julia Allison and his siblings Linda of Washago and Peter and Paul Shoniker of Toronto. Jim is predeceased by his parents Helen Margaret Lee and Rita and Edward James Shoniker. Jim will be sadly missed by his three aunts and cousins.
A well-known and well respected venture capitalist, Jim’s passing will be noted for years to come by his colleagues and business associates at Century Services, where he served as Senior Vice President. Jim will be sorely missed by those who have been proud to call him their loyal, generous and good friend. A passionate golfer, Jim will be especially missed on the greens of St. Andrews East Golf & Country Club.
Jim was lovingly and gently cared for during his illness at home by the loves of his life Timothy and Julia and his best friend D’Arcy Moran.

Friends are invited to share their memories of Jim with his family at Rosar-Morrison Funeral Home & Chapel, 467 Sherbourne St. (south of Wellesley) Toronto, on Monday, March 26 from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m. Parking adjacent to the funeral home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, March 27 at 1:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 78 Clifton Rd. (St. Clair Ave. East & Mount Pleasant Rd.) Interment of cremated remains at Mount Hope Catholic Cemetery, Toronto.
