Gaetano Defina

Gaetano is the beloved husband of Maria (nee Ruggiero) for 49 years. Loving father of Maria Teresa (Dino Coletti), Luisa (Sam Scialdone), Silvana (Keith Cordeiro) and cherished Nonno of Gianluca, Simona, Johnny, Angelina, Katia and Emma. Gaetano will be deeply missed by his sisters, brothers, sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws and his many nieces and nephews. He will be loved and forever remembered by all of his family and friends.

Family and friends may visit at the Jerrett Funeral Home, 1141 St. Clair Ave. W. (1 block east of Dufferin) on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 from 4:00-9:00pm. PLEASE NOTE: Covid19 restrictions that are currently in place limit the number of people that can be in the visitation room at one time, when you arrive, you may need to wait in line socially distanced or you may be asked to wait in your car until space becomes available. Currently, there is no food or drinks permitted. Masks are required.

The Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at 11:00am at St. Alphonsus Church, 504 St. Clair Ave. W (at the corner of St. Clair Ave. W. and Vaughan Rd., there is no parking lot at the church, all parking is on the surrounding streets. PLEASE NOTE: On the morning of the service, please make your way directly to the church arriving at least 25-30 minutes prior to the Mass (as you will need to park), as there will not be a visitation at the funeral home prior to the service. As you arrive, please enter through the doors located on Vaughan Rd. You will be asked to provide your name and phone number. If you live together, you can sit together, otherwise everyone will be seated socially distanced. Due to the restrictions limiting the number of people in the church, once the capacity has been reached no one else will be able to come in. Masks are required.

Private family Entombment to follow at Prospect Cemetery. Due to the limitation of a maximum of 15 people permitted to go inside of the Mausoleum, it will be reserved for the most immediate family.
