Giacinto "John" Tedesco

John leaves behind and will be dearly missed by his wife Rose as well as his loving daughter Stefania, his son in law Andrew and the apple of his eye Gigi.

John’s brother Mauro, his sister in law Gina and their family in Italy will also miss him deeply as will his mother in law, sisters and brothers in law, their beautiful families and of course his very large extended family and circle of friends.

John was born on the 28th of March, 1951 in Spigno Saturnia, Italy. He immigrated to Canada as a teenager, settling in Toronto where he made his mark in the hospitality industry. From the age of 17 he worked as a server, a maître d’, restaurant manager, chef and owner. John was a considerate and thoughtful man who had a knack for making everyone feel special, even those he just met for the first. He was at his happiest when the people around him were happy. He took great joy in cooking and loved nothing more than feeding people - something to which his family, his friends and his regulars can attest.

We would like to thank Dr Hicks and her team at St Michael’s Hospital as well as Dr Abirami Vijenthira and her team at Princess Margaret for their excellent and attentive care.

At John’s request his body will be cremated and there will be no funeral.

We will miss you deeply dear John, and to echo your last words “see you on the other side”.
