Gina Genitti

Gina was born on Oct 30, 1929, in Ofena, L’Aquila Italy to Luisa and Giovanni Pasquantonio. She immigrated to Canada in May 1951 and married her sweetheart Domenico Genitti on July 12, 1952. They settled in Toronto, and resided next door to Gina’s mother and father.

Gina was passionate about cooking and found her joy in preparing traditional Italian food for her family and friends. Nothing made her happier than seeing her loved ones gather and enjoy her delicious creations. She was devoted to her family, and she spent most of her adult life caring for her own parents, as well as her husband and son. When her grandchildren came along, she cherished and delighted in her time with them. She was generous and kind, always concerned more for others than for herself. Gina will always be held dear in the hearts of everyone who knew her. Gina is now reunited with her beloved husband Domenico (2008). She was the loving mother of Robert (Lynne) and cherished Nonna of Alyssa (Tyler) and Emily (Corey). Proud Great Grandmother to Jackson, Harper, Lennon and Cohen. She is survived by her brother Luigi (Erika).

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude and thanks to the staff at The Village of Humber Heights where Gina resided for the past 5 years.

Visitation will take place at Jerrett Funeral Homes, 1141 St Clair Ave West, Toronto, ON, M6E1B1, CA, on March 11, 2026, from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm, followed by the Funeral Service at Jerrett Funeral Homes at 1:00 pm.

Entombment will take place at Prospect Cemetery, 1450 St Clair Ave W, Toronto, ON, M6E 1C6, CA, on March 11, 2026, at 1:30 pm.
