

Peacefully, in his 98th year, on May 23, 2011 at the Markham-Stouffville Hospital. Harry Fox, a World War II veteran with The Queen’s Own Rifles of Canada and the Hastings and Prince Edward Regiment. Mr. Fox was born in England in 1914 and came to Canada in 1920. He worked at the T. Eaton Company on Queen St. in Toronto, from 1929 until his retirement in 1976. He is predeceased by his parents Albert and Jane, brother William, sister Jennie, wife Catherine, and daughters Margaret and Rhoda. He leaves to mourn his passing, Sheila McRae, her husband Steve and their daughter Shea, his grandson Sean, his wife Donna, and their family, as well as granddaughter Lynda, her husband Ralph and her family. Family and friends will be received at the Jerrett Funeral Home, 660 Kennedy Road, Scarborough, 416-266-4404 from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25, 2011. A Legion poppy ceremony will be held at the end of the visitation. Funeral service to be conducted on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of the Epiphany, 700 Kennedy Road, Scarborough. Captain the Reverend Craig B. Cameron officiating. A reception will follow at the funeral home at 12:00 p.m. and interment at 1:30 p.m. at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 2700 Kingston Road, Scarborough. In lieu of flowers, donations in Harry’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
