Born in Richmond Hill, Ontario. Passed away unexpectedly at Sunnybrook Hospital Thursday, June 16, 2016. Survived by his mother Ann Dejong, his sister Sandra and her husband James Leach, his nephews Alex and Nathan and his partner in life Shanon Cassells. along with their cats Benjamin and Clementine who he adored. Predeceased by his much loved father Tjeerd DeJong. A proud, tenacious, memorable "stubborn Dutchman" for whom nothing was impossible. A force of nature. A loyal dedicated employee of Sheridan Nurseries who went far and beyond to serve with excellence. Passionate for his work, an avid and competitive dart player, who loved spending time in Cuba. We will miss you. Your Presence will always be with us. A gathering in celebration of his life will be held at the Toronto Botanical Gardens on Wednesday, July 6th from 6 to 8 p.m.
