Hian-Lie Liem

Hian Lie was born on June 28, 1958, in Bandung, Indonesia. As a child, she immigrated to Mississauga, Canada. She graduated from Ryerson Polytechnical Institute, where she developed a strong foundation for a successful career. Throughout her professional life, she made significant contributions while working for several notable companies, including LAC Minerals, Woolco, Sigma, Hudson’s Bay, and LCBO.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Hian Lie had a zest for life that was evident in her love of travel and her passion for hosting gatherings. She was an exceptional cook and took great pleasure in bringing family and friends together over delicious meals.

Hian Lie is survived by her husband, David; her cherished daughter, Kristina; and her loving stepdaughter, Jennifer. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her legacy of love and kindness will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

Hian Lie was always very connected through her faith, lived a life of service and devotion, and was very involved at the Church of St. Aidan for over 30 years. The celebrations of Hian Lie’s life were held there (St.Aidan’s: 2423 Queen Street East). The viewing was on June 21st from 6-8 p.m., and the funeral service took place on June 22nd at 11 a.m., followed by a reception.
