Inocencia peacefully left this world on February 3, 2025, at the age of 94, surrounded by the warmth and love of her children and family.
A devoted mother of 12 children, Inocencia always made an effort to protect her offspring from the outside world. She taught those around her the value of family, compassion, and togetherness. She instilled lessons of treating others with respect, living simply and not wasting. Inocencia had a compassionate heart to those less fortunate and even though had little, she was always willing to give.
Her legacy is one of selflessness, and unshakable faith. Inocencia's legacy will live on through her family, whose bonds are strengthened by the love she so freely gave. Her door was always open, always happy to have visitors, babysit or entertain the grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. As much as home was a big part of her life raising 12 children; later in life, she enjoyed going out in the community, or even doing short trips. Her dedication to her loved ones will never be forgotten.
Inocencia's resilience did not go unnoticed, against all odds, she persevered through many struggles. She was a fighter to the end! She is now reunited with her son, Marcelino and cherished husband, Mario, with whom she shared a lifetime of devotion to their family. Together, they have left behind a beautiful and growing family, who will honour their memory by living with the same love and devotion they instilled in all of us.
She will be remembered and missed by siblings, nephews and nieces and her 11 children: Mariana, Lydia, Joe (Linda), Ceu, Louisa, Josephine, Helena, Mario (Christine), Manuel (Jenny), Judith (Kerry) and Bill (Elsa); her 14 grandchildren: Michelle, Joseph (Christine), Kristopher (Christal), Derrick, Andrew (Sarah), Ruby, Bonnie (Arden), Matthew, Melissa (Nick), Emily, Aliah, Jeremy, Hanna and Liam. She also leaves behind 16 great grandchildren: Tanner, Leland, Nathan, Alyssa, Owen, Celina, Jayden, Kaia, Jaida, Lincoln, Kalissi, Kaycen, Mikaela, August, Oliver and Summer.
May our dearest mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Inocencia, rest in peace, knowing her strength, devotion and love will continue to guide and inspire us.
