Today I was looking through some stacked papers and came upon Irene’s note with her and Johnny’s name. I searched for them with Google. We met them on our first visit to  Borgo Taro and Rovinaglia.  My bother, his wife, my husband and I were wandering around looking for some dinner. They kindly took us down a side street to a basement ristorante. They were so kind. We were there to see our father’s parents’ birthplace. We saw them another evening while at a gelatoria.

I am very sorry to hear of the passing of Mrs. Spagnoli. For many years, she and her husband were the lovely, smiling couple who sat near me in church on Sunday mornings. It was not until after the Riverdale CI 100th anniversary that I learned they were the parents of Stefan, a St William's and Riverdale classmate.  
Hold on to all your beautiful memories.
They will help get your through this difficult time.
I will keep you in my prayers.

My condolences to all of the family. I have very fond memories of Mrs. Spagnoli (as we respectfully called her as children). She was our neighbour, a dear friend to my late mother,a wonderful Aunt to my friend Sandra, and a loving mother. She loved her family but always had room to welcome others with her beautiful smile-and she smiled alot. Every kid in the neighbourhood loved her.
I spent many afternoons in the Spagnoli home with my friend, Sandra. I had my first taste of risotto and Nutella in the Spagnoli house when I was a child. I had never had anything like it before and I loved it. Truly, I think of her each time I have it today !
She was a special woman- my mother knew it and loved her, which made us love her all the more.She made a lasting impression on all those who knew her. Our hearts go out to all of you. May God Bless her Soul

My deepest sympathy goes out to Gianni and family on the loss of Rena.  I have many fond memories of her.  Always, smiling and warm hugs.  May your fond memories of her get you through this very sad time.  God Bless.

I was saddened to hear that Mrs. Spagnoli had passed away.  She was a lovely and kind harded woman always smiling and welcoming.  My condlences to her husband Giovanni and family.

I am sorry about the loss of Mrs Spagnoli. She was a kind woman, loving mother to her children, and good neighbour. Her sons were close friends with my brothers and I always heard her spoken of with fondness and highest regard.
