Mrs. Jane Margaret Eby

Jane Margaret Eby (Nee Apted) Jane passed away peacefully at Princess Margaret Hospital on January 14, 2012, with her family at her side. She will be greatly missed by her devoted husband Peter; her children Christopher (Arielle) and Blaire (William); her grandchildren Lucy Davidson and "Little" Peter Eby, who so loved spending time with their Gran over Christmas this past year, allowing her a brief escape from her painful ordeal. She will also be mourned by her closes friend, sister and co-conspirator Bernadette Wadsworth, her nieces; Carolan Lesaux, Mary Hamilton and Jane Flynn, better known as Punkie, Minnow and Foofie, and their families; and her step-son Brian Eby and his family. The family wishes to express its deep gratitude for the care and friendship of Virginia Fogata, the transplant team at Toronto General Hospital and the staff at Princess Margaret Hospital who cared for her in her final days. Jane possessed many rare qualities but will be remember most for her quiet sensitivity, wonderful sense of humour and enduring grace. A service will be held on Wednesday, January 18, 2012, at 2 p.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, adjacent to the Newman Centre, 89 St. George Street, Toronto. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Transplant Unit at the Toronto General Hospital, which can be made through the Toronto General and Western Hospital foundation .
