Beloved wife of Jim, sister to Margaret, Helen, and Ruth, mother of Lynn, Bruce, and Gary, and grandmother to Robert, Andrew, and Peter, was peacefully promoted to Glory on Saturday February 5, 2011 at Sunnybrook Hospital, Toronto. Thanks to nurses Tara and Kim. Joan, a former teacher, was a long time member and Primary Dept. Superintendant of Waverley Road Baptist Church. Family and friends may visit at the Jerrett Funeral Home, 660 Kennedy Road, Scarborough (between Eglinton and St. Clair Aves. E.) on Friday February 11, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A Memorial Service celebrating her 83 years will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 10 am in the Jerrett Funeral Home Chapel. Donations to the Gideon's International in Canada appreciated.
