Joanne McGarry (Paolini) passed peacefully on Sunday, into the hands of the Lord, after a brave, two-year battle with pancreatic cancer. Beloved wife of David Paolini; loving mother of Laura, Sarah and Daniel Paolini. Fondly remembered by her brother Bernard McGarry and his wife June and their children; Jeffrey and Julie and grand-children. Beloved daughter-in-law of Neil and Patricia Paolini of Etobicoke. Cherished sister-in-law to Douglas and Elvira Paolini of Oakville and their children; Greg and Sabrina Paolini of Toronto and their children, and Andrew Paolini. Dear sister-in-law to Carol McGarry and favoured aunt to Lucy and Katie McGarry. Predeceased by her brother Michael and parents Ed and Elsie McGarry. Joanne had a long and successful writing, editing and management career, chiefly with The Catholic Register and Jewelry World. Most recently the Executive Director of the Catholic Civil Rights League (CCRL). Accomplishments too numerous to mention. Many thanks to the team at Odette Cancer Centre.
