

Joaquim was an exemplary loving husband, father and provider. He was a proud and skilled Carpenter. A strong and caring man.
Joaquim has been reunited in Heaven with his loving son Luis Alberto Chainho Pereira. He is the beloved husband of Julia Chainho Dionisio Pereira. He is the loving Father of Isabel Pereira Bras (Isidro Bras), Fernando Chainho Pereira (Christina Pereira) and cherished grandfather of Gabriel Alexander Pereira.
He will be dearly missed by Mary Pereira and by his siblings Celeste and Madalena. He was predeceased by his siblings Diolinda, Conçeicão and Antonio. He will be in our hearts always, forever remembered, loved and missed by all of his family and friends.
Family and friends may visit at the Jerrett Funeral Home, 1141 St. Clair Ave. W. (1 block east of Dufferin) on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 from 4-8pm.
PLEASE NOTE: Covid19 restrictions that are currently in place limit the number of people that can be in the visitation room or the chapel in the funeral home, when you arrive, you may need to wait in line socially distanced or you may be asked to wait in your car until space becomes available. Currently, there is no food or drinks permitted. Masks are required.
The Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at 10:30am at St. Mary of the Angels Church, 1481 Dufferin St. (south of Davenport). PLEASE NOTE: On the morning of the service, please make your way directly to the church arriving at least 25 minutes prior to the service. As you arrive, you will be asked to provide your name and phone number. Due to the restrictions limiting the number of people in the church, once the capacity has been reached no one else will be able to come in).
Entombment to follow at Westminster Cemetery, 5830 Bathurst St.. PLEASE NOTE: Due to the restrictions at the cemetery, only 30 family members will be permitted to enter the mausoleum for the prayer service and 10 family members can go to the crypt for the entombment.
