I had the very special privilege of living with my brother in law, John, who is like a brother to me. There are not enough words or feelings to describe John. I was so blessed to have been a part of John’s life. John was a loving husband to my sister, Marg. An amazing, caring father and grandfather. His love for his immediate family, extended family and friends was always evident. His special love of music was infectious to anyone who had the great pleasure of sharing this with him, especially his grandson Joshua. The hurt of loss, that is so great, is a testament to how much John is loved. May the many memories of John help to sustain us. Rest in peace John. ❤️

I am so devistated by the loss of my Uncle John. He was not only a wonderful uncle, but also my godfather. I will always cherish the times we spent together, especially my memories of him playing his guitar and singing at Sauble bauble beach. His music and warmth brought so much joy into our lives. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone who loved him during this difficult time. Rest in peace ♥️

Uncle John was such a wonderful man who touched the lives of so many. He loved his family deeply, was kind, and was always there to lend a hand, no matter the situation. I remember when our cat Tori had to be put to sleep; he insisted on driving us to the vet because he didn’t want us to have to take a taxi. That’s the kind of man he was. A great man and uncle.

Uncle John also had a great sense of humor, and his love for music was truly infectious. I have so many fond memories of him singing and playing the guitar at family get-togethers and holidays. I know all of us will think of him when we hear one of his favourite songs on the radio.

Our deepest condolences to Marg, Karen, Josh, Kim, Aaron, Liam, Nolan, and Aidan. Our thoughts are with you during this incredibly difficult time.
We will miss Uncle John so much, and his memory will forever live in our hearts. I hope he’s up there singing and playing his heart out.

I have thought some time about what to write about a man that means so much to me, I just can't believe he isn't with us anymore; it doesn't feel real. John was an amazing man; he had a heart of gold, he loved music, his family and he would do anything for anyone. Uncle John was so much more to me than just an uncle, he was my children's Godfather, he was a second Dad, and he was also a friend. John was such a big part of all my memories growing up and I will forever be grateful to have had him in my life. I will remember all the weekends together, family trips to Sauble Beach, hanging out on the deck, talking, singing, listening to music and having lots of laughs. Every time I hear music now, I see him tapping. I will always picture this in my mind and his memory will always live on in my heart and in the music. I love you Uncle John and I will miss you so much. I hope you and my Mom are together having a party up in Heaven, RIP xoxo

Dear Margaret, Kim,Aaron and Family and Karen , Josh and the White Family;
My thoughts and prayers are with you as you mourn and celebrate John. He was a very special Brother-in- law who was so kind, generous with his time when I visited with Family. I enjoyed his humour, love of music and his quiet presence. I will miss him , so very much. Please be consoled that he is at peace and he is with our/his Families once more.-Love-Catherine

Whenever I hear a song come on the radio that reminds me of you (there are so many), my eyes well up with tears. I try to pause, find peace in the lyrics and try to remember all the wonderful memories I have with you.

Growing up, our families were always together,  from your place, to my parents house and many years in Sauble Beach. 

As an adult, I cherish all the Canada Day and New Years Eve parties at my house and my sister's. You always brought so much joy, laughter and music.

John, you were not only my uncle, but a second father to me. Words cannot describe the pain I feel.

My Uncle John was one of the kindest men I know. He could light up a room with his presence, his voice and of course, his left handed guitar.
I have many fond memories of my Uncle John, one I will share here.  Many years ago we had a conversation while alone in my grandparents kitchen. He was this cool teenager coming in to grab something out of the fridge and I was just a little kid sitting there in awe.  We had an adult conversation about rock music and the song playing on the radio, Crimson and Clover. I thought in that moment, I was cool too.  That's how John made you feel. A love of music is something we shared and that he lovingly shared with our family. I will forever miss his spirit and his light. 

I send my deepest sympathies to his loving wife, Margaret, their 2 daughters, son-in-law and all their lovely grandchildren, for they will feel his loss the most.
