CRISTELLO, Lario "Bruno" - Passed away peacefully on November 9, 2013 in Toronto at the age of 53 years. Beloved son of Salvatore and Stella. Loving brother of Joe (Rose), Luciano (Claire), Louie (Patty), Isabella and Robert (Cathy). Dear uncle of Lauren, Nicole, Sarah, Alexandra, Alyssa, Stephanie, Samantha, Samuel and Gabriel. Bruno will be sadly missed by Monique, his aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and colleagues.
A successful business man and proud founding member of the original Shoeless Joe's. A visionary, together with his troop of loyal partners, went on to open ten worthy neighbourhood pubs and restaurants. Brass Taps Pizza Pub, Mayday Malone's, Southside Louie's, The Banknote Bar & Supergrill, The Monarch Tavern & Lounge 88, and The Brunswick Avenue Pump.
Larry, Bruno to his friends, loved passing time in all his establishments and frequented each one of them daily, meeting and greeting new friends. He had a knack for remembering people and faces by applying a nickname to each one. The names were always catchy and spread like wild fire. Sharing a drink and trading jokes was his favourite pastime.
He had a fiery spirit and a generosity that came from deep within his soul. If you needed help you could always count on him. He'll be fondly remembered.
A special thank you to the staff at Mt. Sinai Hospital for their unwavering care. Friends may visit at the Jerrett Funeral Home, 1141 St. Clair Ave. We.
