Lawrence Anthony Chown, 92, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2025, in Ajax. Larry was born in Weston on July 24, 1932. He was a devoted husband to his wife of 65 years, Shirley (nee Harris), who pre-deceased him in December of 2016. Larry is survived by his children: John and his wife Lynne, Gordon, Margaret and Jean, and his eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Prior to retiring to Cobourg, he worked as a manager for IBM Canada. Larry was a skilled handyman, bird lover, and an avid golfer.
A celebration of life for Lawrence will be held Friday, April 25, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Jerrett Funeral Homes, 660 Kennedy Road, Toronto, ON M1K2B5.
