Beloved mother of Penny (Michael) and David (Corinne). Lawrene will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Mallory, Madolyn (Josh), Troy, Janine (Anthony), Patrick (Hailey) and Lucas; and her great-grandchildren Penelope, Malcolm, Leo and Jack. Predeceased by her loving parents Lawrie and Jessie McDonald. Predeceased by her brother William (Daphne), Lois (George) and Jessie Margaret.
Lawrene was an avid baker and was always asked to bake cakes for every occasion. She enjoyed knitting mittens, hats, and scarves for her grandchildren. She was a loyal Toronto Maple Leaf and Blue Jays fan. Even with her macular degeneration she enjoyed listening to the games on TV. When she was not listening to sports, she had on her old country music and gospel favourites. Lawrene enjoyed playing bingo and darts with her friends at Wilmar Court. She was always family first, enjoying time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Lawrene had a way of making everyone feel as though they were part of the family, earning her the names, Ma, Grandma Ars, Grandma A and Mrs. A. She will be forever in our hearts.
