I miss you Daddy  I hope you proud of me now as you are Dancing in the Sky

I was searching for Leon Jaques Jr when I unfortunately came upon this site.
I am so sorry for your loss Leon Jr, Andre and Kathleen. 
Your dad was a good man.
I have so many good memories of Leon Sr.
Taking me in his home and  being so patient and kind to me.
Thank you for opening up your home to me.
I'll never forget the chicken strips and fries you would.cook for me and Leon they were super delish.

When I was 5 my Daddy knew everything and could do anything 
When I was 10 my Daddy knew lots of stuff and could do lots of things
When I was 13 my old man didn't know shit
When I was 21 I was amazed at how much he had learned in 8 years
When I was 30 I would often ask his advice 
When I was 45 I wouldn't make a move without talking to him 
Now I'm 57 and my Father isn't here to ask anymore I wish I had listened to my Daddy more when I had the chance

I know it has been a number of years since Leon Jacques has passed away.  I was going through some old photo albums of my mothers who has also passed and came across the attached photo.  I was googling to see if I could find out who these children were and came across this obituary. 
 I am sorry to hear about your loss.   Not sure if the deceased is related except for the fact that the back of the photo mentions Kathleen, Leon and Andre the same names mentioned in the obituary.   My mother used to live in Ontario however since 1967 lived in British Columbia.  The photo indicated Christmas 1973.

He hasnst gone away but rather he has come much closer. He is in our hearts. He is now a part of the sun the moon the rain the snow and the wind. Most importantly the wind. The warm winds of autumn placing his gentle touch on your back, the cold winds of february warning any  possible adversaries of his loved ones.

Deepest sympathies to all the Jacques Family. 
Leon was a good friend when we were kids.

I had the pleasure of recounting many wonderful memories of "Leon" this morning with my Mom Henriette.  Mr. Jacques was one of my Dad's best friends throughout his life, and he most certainly left a positive definition on all of us of what it is to be a true gentleman and friend.  
It was his influence in part that influenced my career in the military.  His encouragement and humour over the years and fond memories indeed for all of us.
Please accept my most sincere and heartfelt condolences and that of my Mom as well.  I somehow have a feeling he and Dad are already looking down on us all and enjoying a good stiff one over a game of crib and telling stories.
